Los Arroys Ranch (Lazy F Ranch) is a family owned, working cattle ranch in Smiley, Texas.  It has 2,500 acres with 75 miles of trails.  There are beautiful wildflowers in the Spring with large oak trees throughout the ranch.  It is  barefoot friendly with sandy terrain.
It is primitive camping ($5/night) but 18 covered pens are available at $10/night.  Please contact Shelley Hilton ([email protected]) if you are interested in renting a pen.  There are a few rooms available for $150/night (unless rates change) which range from rooms sleeping 2-6 people.  If you’re interested in renting a room, please contact Shelley Hilton ([email protected]).

General Information and Requirements:

Everyone must show proof of negative Coggins test for the horse you registered to ride.  ALL dogs must be on a leash.  No dogs in the pavilion during meal times.  Pick up your trash.  Do not attach your horse pen to any permanent structure on the property such as fences.  There will be designated areas for generator and non-generator use.

Meals: Pot luck meal on Saturday night with ride managers providing the main entree.

Ranch Fee: Ranch fees are $15 per night.

Buddy Riders may no longer register online. You can register by contacting the Ride Secretary via email and request to be put on the Buddy list.  All registered riders not paid in full by 30 days out will be released. We will then take Buddy Riders in order from the waitlist.  You will hear directly from the Ride Secretary with a confirmation letter. If you want a guaranteed spot, please register as Scout and get a scorecard!

All Junior Riders (under the age of 18) must wear a helmet at ALL times while horseback. Regardless if on trail or in camp.

Registration opens on the first of the month 90 days prior to ride (12/01/2024).

In the case of a full ride, you can be added to the waitlist by contacting the ride secretary directly.

Each person registering for a ride must have a separate login and password. You cannot register your relative on your login, you must create a separate login with a separate email address and register them separately. The comment section cannot be used for registering another individual.  This is necessary to maintain an accurate count of riders registered for a ride.

All registered riders not paid in full by 30 days prior to the ride will be removed from the registration list and put on the waiting list.

Cancellation policy:  Full refund up to 30 days before the ride.

If Management cancels the ride, you will receive a full refund.

Additional Fees: 

If not a member of TTCC you must purchase a daily membership at $10 per day, or an annual membership for $30 for single person, or $40 for family.  Checks need to be made payable to TTCC.

From San Antonio-Take I-10E, exit US 87S, turn left onto FM 1116 & go 15.6 miles.

From Houston-Take I-10-W, exit 649 toward TX 97. Turn left onto TX 97 & go 13.8 miles.  Turn right onto US 90 Alt W & go 1.7 miles.  Turn left onto US 183 & go 3 miles.  Turn right onto US Hwy 97 & go 1.2 miles.  Turn left onto FM 1116 & go 15.6 miles.
