Come experience the Texas Hill Country at its finest. Come for a fun TTCC weekend with a Hollywood movie theme at Lazy Hills Retreat with hills & lots of water on a beautiful private ranch. Most of the terrain is good ground but we recommend shoes or boots for some of the hilltops. There are 32 electric/water hookups available and once this area is full, generator & non-generator parking will be available in a nearby area. You will need to contact Lazy Hills for both hookups & generator or non-generator parking prior to the ride. There is no primitive camping (tents) allowed. Lodging is available through Lazy Hills which includes a free complimentary breakfast. Stalls and pens are available through Lazy Hills. Please verify the size stall you are getting because they vary in size and some are small. Electric pens and portable pens are allowed but cannot be attached to your trailer. No high ties are allowed. Pets are allowed in the trailer area but need to be on a leash. Lazy Hills has many amenities available that are family friendly-fishing (catch & release), kayaks, paddle boats, horse shoes, pool table, ping pong, putt putt golf, zip line, hot tub & swimming pool.

General Information & Requirements: Everyone must show proof of negative Coggins test. All dogs must be on a leash. Scatter your manure & hay. If there is any hay left, please bag it & take it home.
Check-in with Lazy Hills starts at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28 and check out should be no later than Sunday, March 1, at 3:00 p.m. or right after the awards meeting. TTCC’s check-in will start at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28. Ride meetings will be at 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights in the Dining Room. Late check-in will be between 7:30-8:00 a.m. Saturday & Sunday.
Meals: On Saturday, we will have a catered meal from the same caterer as last year. The cost of the meal is $10. for Saturday night dinner and will be served at 6 p.m. It will be 2 chicken or beef enchiladas with rice, beans, flour tortillas, queso, salsa, chips and ice tea or ice water. Paper plates, glasses and utensils will be supplied. Sopapilla pie will be served as dessert to everyone whether they buy a dinner or not. You will need to prepay your meal by sending payment by check to Shelley Hilton, 13945 Hwy 211, Helotes, TX 78023 or use PayPal sending by Friends and Family [email protected] no later than February 14, 2020.

Prepayment 30 days prior to the ride (1/29/20) is required in order to retain your reservation. If prepayment is not received 30 days prior to ride, your spot will be released and your name will be moved to the waiting list.
Registration opens on the first day of the month 90 days prior to ride, November 1, 2019.
Ranch fees: $15.00/day or $30.00/weekend. Ranch fees are only due from riders.
In case of a full ride, a waiting list will be started and as cancellations open up spaces, riders will be added on a 1st come 1st serve basis. Contact Shelley Hilton ([email protected]) to be added to the waiting list. Contact the ride manager at least 7 days prior to the ride for a refund of your entry fee.
Please mail your ride fee and ranch fee made payable to Shelley Hilton, 13945 Hwy 211, Helotes, TX 78023. If you prefer to use PayPal, please send your payment to [email protected] and pay as Family & Friends. Additional fees such as hookups, lodging, camping, and stalls should be paid to Lazy Hills Retreat.

It you are not a member of TTCC, you must purchase a daily membership of $5/day or pay an annual membership for $20 made payable to TTCC. If you would to join for an annual membership, print out the membership application that can be obtained at texastrailchallengeclub.com. A completed application along with your check should be mailed to Brenda Hicks, our Treasurer.
Pre-register through texastrailchallengeclub.com. Buddy Riders please contact Shelley Hilton, [email protected], directly, and do not register online. We take 65 competitors. Buddy Riders are not included in 65 riders count, but is limited.
Each person registering for a ride must have a separate login and password. You cannot register your relative on your login. You must create a separate login with a separate email address and register them separately. The comment section cannot be used for registering another individual. This is necessary to maintain an accurate count of riders registered for a ride.
Cancellation policy:
2.5 — Ride-Fee Cancellation Policy
If you cancel:
- 7+ days prior to ride– full refund
- 6-3 days prior to ride– 50%
- Less than 3 days– no refund
If Management cancels the ride you will receive a full refund.
If you have to cancel, scroll down and click, “cancel my reservation”. Make certain you contact Lazy Hills to cancel any hookups, camping or pens.
Directions to Lazy Hills-Lazy Hills Retreat at 375 Henderson Branch Rd, Ingram, TX-is easily located 8 miles west of Kerrville, TX-2 miles beyond Ingram, TX off of Hwy 27. Turn right on Henderson Branch Rd. Kerrville is 60 miles northwest of San Antonio on Interstate Hwy 10.
From San Antonio take Interstate 10 West, approximately 60 miles, exit 505 at the Harper exit from I-10. Go right on Harper Rd., 2 miles into Kerrville. Turn right on Hwy 27 (Junction Highway). Go 6 miles west to Ingram. At the 3rd traffic light, Hwy 27 & Hwy 39 form a Y. Take Hwy 27 to the right toward Mountain Home and go 2 miles to Henderson Branch Rd. You will turn right at the red and yellow Lazy Hills sign. Follow the road 1 ½ miles to the end and you will see the Lazy Hills rock entrance. Check-in at the office to the right of the entrance before you unload your horse.
From Austin take Hwy 290 to Johnson City and Fredericksburg. In Fredericksburg turn left on Hwy 16 and continue 24 miles to Kerrville. In the center of Kerrville Hwy 16 (Sidney Baker) and Hwy 27 (Junction Highway) and follow the directions above to Ingram and then to Lazy Hills.
