Location: Reynolds Creek Park, Lake Waco

Reynolds Creek offers 10 equestrian sites and 20 covered stalls, plus 30 non-horse campsites. Equestrian camping is available year-round. Waco Lake, which lies in the city limits of Waco, Texas, is fed primarily by the Bosque River. The lake was formed in 1963 with the completion of the Lake Waco Dam. For visitors looking for a more challenging trek, horseback riding and biking can be done on the 20 plus mile Lacy Point Hiking and Biking Trail.

General Information and Requirements:

Everyone must show proof of negative Coggins test.  All dogs must be on a leash.  Dispose of  manure as instructed.  Do not attach portable pen to any permanent structure on the property

 

Park Ranger Rules:

Must use a pen or hi-tie for your horse – no electric tape

No horses outside of equestrian area

 

Ride management will have a limited # of portable pens available.

 

Meals:  A pot luck taco bar will be open to all on Saturday.  Please contact LeeAnn to get an assignment if you would like to provide items – this way we can ensure we have everything covered…including dessert!!

New for 2023 – Buddy Riders may no longer register online. You can register by contacting the Ride Manager, Jim Miller, via email and request to be put on the Buddy list.  All registered riders not paid in full by 30 days out will be released. We will then take Buddy Riders in order from the waitlist.  You will hear directly from the Ride Secretary with a confirmation letter. If you want a guaranteed spot, please register as Scout and get a scorecard!

Your payment 30 days prior to the ride reserves your slot.  If payment is not received 30 days prior to the ride your name will be moved to the waiting list.

 

*Additional Fees: 

If not a member of TTCC you must purchase a daily membership at $10 or a full membership for $30, payable to TTCC.

 

Entry Fee:  $10.00 (pay at park entrance)

Camp fee:  electric $28 per night; non-electric $16 per night. Camp/RV sites must be reserved with Reynolds Creek.

Note- horses must be in equestrian area only, but it is possible to reserve electric sites on the other side of the park and keep your horse in the equestrian area.  Ride management will reserve the equestrian area electric sites.  There will be a lottery for the remaining equestrian electrical sites.  Two (2) weeks after the ride opens, all riders that have paid for the ride will have their names entered in the drawing for the remaining available electric sites located in the equestrian area.  Riders will be notified by email if their name was selected.

Registration opens on the first of the month 90 days prior to ride.

 

In the case of a full ride, you can be added to the waitlist by contacting the ride manager, Jim Miller, directly.

 

Each person registering for a ride must have a separate login and password. You cannot register your relative on your login, you must create a separate login with a separate email address and register them separately. The comment section cannot be used for registering another individual.  This is necessary to maintain an accurate count of riders registered for a ride.

 

Cancellation policy:

2.5 — Ride-Fee Cancellation Policy (From the rule book)

If you cancel:

2 weeks (14+ days) prior to ride– full refund

1 week (7 days) prior to ride– 50%

Less than 1 week (7 days)– no refund

If  Management cancels  the ride you will receive a full refund. 

 

If you have to cancel, scroll down and click, “cancel my reservation”.  Make certain you contact the ranch host and cancel any reservations you made directly with them for lodging arrangements.

 

Directions to ride:  From I-35, take exit 330B Hwy 6 N toward Meridian for about 7 miles. After passing over the Lake on the Twin Bridges, take the Speegleville Road exit (second exit after the bridges). Turn right on Speegleville Road. After 1 mile you will reach a 4-way stop. Continue straight on Speegleville Road for about 2 miles and park entrance will be on the right
