High Gate Ranch is a 2100-acre ranch located in the heart of the hill country. This is guaranteed to be a spectacular ride with spring wildflowers blooming and wildlife abounding.  The trails will be exciting with picturesque views and the obstacles fun and challenging.  We have a fantastic team this year so register early and come on out and ride!

General Information and Requirements:  Primitive camping in wide pasture with some shade trees, divided for generators and non-generators.  No stalls for horses so plan accordingly.  Horse water is available in water troughs positioned in camp area.  No water tank filling, please bring your tanks full.  No horse washing available.   Bring your own people water.  Two porta-potties will be available in camp area.  No open fires, gas grills ok.  No smoking anywhere on the ranch.  Front gate will open at NOON on Friday April 5^th.  Trails will not be accessible until the ride begins Saturday morning.

Everyone must show proof of negative Coggins test.  All dogs must be on a leash.  Shoes are highly recommended.   Scatter manure and hay, haul out all trash, and leave your camping area clean.  Note that everyone must depart the ranch on Sunday after the Awards Ceremony.  If you need information on overnight facilities for Sunday night please contact the Ride Manager.

Meals:  Potluck Saturday night, management will provide main course.  All other meals are on your own.  *check Facebook page for updates on meal plan.*

Ranch Fees:  $15.00 per day per rider.  (example:  $15 if riding one day, $30 if riding both days)

Your prepayment must be received 30 days prior to the ride in order to retain your reservation.  If prepayment is not received 30 days prior to the ride, your reservation will be cancelled and released to those on the waiting list.

There will be a $10 discount for prepaying by mailing a check 30 days prior to the ride payable to:

Cancellation policy:

2.5 — Ride-Fee Cancellation Policy

If you cancel:

• 7+ days prior to ride– full refund
• 6-3 days prior to ride– 50%
• Less than 3 days– no refund

If  Management cancels  the ride you will receive a full refund.

Additional Fees: 

If not a member of TTCC you must purchase a daily membership at $5 or a full membership for $20, payable to TTCC.

Preregister through www.TexasTrailChallengeClub.com.  Each Login on TTCC Website represents 1 rider. Each rider must have their own email address and login to register. This includes children, spouses, grandchildren.

Directions to ride:  DO NOT USE YOUR GPS TO FIND THE RANCH–IT DOES NOT WORK—ok to use to get to Dripping Springs then follow our directions to the ranch. From North or South: Take I-35 to 290 West to Dripping Springs. Turn left on RR 12 South. Or take US 281 South to 290 East to Dripping Springs. Turn right on RR12 South. From Dripping Springs: Take RR 12 South, go 5 miles to Gatlin Creek Road (CR 191) on your right/West.  Follow Gatlin Creek Road (CR 191) West to the end (~2.9 miles) where you will come to a STOP sign.  Directly in front of you is the entrance gate to the ranch which will be open during the ride.   Continue through main entrance gate down paved road for 2/10^thmile to another gate that will also be open.  Continue down paved road and look for signs showing where to park.
